Armoloy TDC is used across a variety of industries and for a multitude of purposes. It is particulary useful as a coating for bearings and bearing surfaces made of 52100, M-50, M-50 NIL, BG-42. 440C, and all pH basis metals. Armoloy TDC enables bearing surfaces to run longer and cooler. U.S.A.F tests have shown that Armoloy TDC enhances bearings, (both ball and roller), and does not affect nor induce fatigue nor change base metal characterstics. Armoloy TDC also provides corrosion resitance exceeding 440C stainless steel.
Aerospace
Meeting the exacting needs of the Aerospace industry is a core business area for Armoloy (UK) Limited. Many years experience, working on both civil and defence programmes, helps the Armoloy Team to work in partnership with design teams to develop the best solutions for material surface issues.... more
Power
Armoloy TDC coating is widely used throughout the Power sector reducing costs in a variety of areas. The Armoloy Team is able to help engineers apply coating solutions that allow an increased range of materials to be used in the industry's arduous conditions... more
Oil & Gas
Oil and gas companies are continually pushing engineering design to reach more challenging environments. This leads to constantly reviewing material selection which provides its own challenges. Working closely with equipment design engineers in the sector, Armoloy's Team understands the special requirements of surface finishes in specific applications... more
Machine Tool Components
Have exhibited reduced friction, enhanced corrosion resitance and improved seal surface life.
Plastic Moulders
Report reduced cycle times, better release, increased flow and reduced wear where abrasive (glass filled, alkyds) materials are used. Armoloy keeps parting lines sharper, Increased screw, barrel and nozzle tip life, Maintenance costs are reduced with easier plastic mould cleaning.
Pumps, Metering Devices, Rotary Air Locks
Wear and erosion against abrasive media, water based paints, solvents and other chemicals, Armoloy also add tremendous wear life to cast iron components.
Bearings, Roller And Ball
Run longer with lower coefficient of friction. Use of 52100 bearing steel instead or stainless steel in corrosive environments, thereby reducing costs and shortening delivery time.
Food Processing, Packing Manufactures
FD-USDA approved for product contact, Armoloy coated materials are used instead of expensive stainless steel.
Hydraulic Manufacturers
Close tolerance processing eliminating post process grinding.
Textile Industry
Allows lower Rockwell hardness base metals on thin section gears and machine parts, permitting Armoloy Rc 70 hardness to carry wear resistance, reducing breakage and costly "down-time".
Ball Screws, Linear Slides
Use Armoloy coated stock items where enhanced corrosion resitance is required in hostile environments. No revision to assembly tolerances necessary.
Die Casting
Aluminium and zinc die casters use Armoloy coated tooling for optimum tool life and performance and improved component quality.
Automotive Industry
Engine and transmission parts such as valves, valve guides, pistons, gears and splines are protected without detrimental tolerance changes or variations.
